Sam Civil is a junior mechanical engineering major minoring in digital fabrication. She’s extremely interested in all things space, and so excited to be a part of the Vanderbilt Aerospace Design Laboratory, taking a deep dive into the ins and outs of rocketry. She’s been building upon her knowledge and experience from aerospace internships at Lockheed Martin and L3Harris, and plans on soaking in and learning as much as she can during her time at Vanderbilt as well as meeting like-minded ambitious individuals. She plans to pursue a career in the space industry after college, working on instrumentation and design for deep space missions to expand humanity’s knowledge of what lies beyond our earth.
