Sebastian Nuñez
Payload Engineer
My interest for space science and engineering began early in my childhood watching documentaries and reading in my free time. In high school, I created an Astronomy Club for those sharing my passion for space, represented my country in the Latin American Astronomy Olympiad, and got a scholarship to attend NASA’s Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama. These experiences fueled my passion and determination to study mechanical engineering with a minor in scientific computing in Vanderbilt. By working in VADL I am going one step further and applying my theoretical and analytical skills to a tangible and meaningful project that is both aligned with my passion and technically demanding. In the future, I hope to work in the aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics industry.
